Vietnam's map
Jesus Figueroa (Mexico)
In the experimental exam, I didn't have any difficulties with the tools provided but it took me a whole one hour to read just the questions. I don't know if I can get any medal, maybe just honorable mention. I would like to spend my last few days enjoying Vietnam.
Pedro Gaspar (Spain)
I did the experimental exam better than the theoretical one for sure but I couldn't finish the second one since I didn't have enough time. My teammates did better in the experimental exam too. What I like most about Vietnam is the people who are very kind and friendly.
Anderson (Sweden)
The experimental exam was easier than the theoretical one but I still didn't have enough time to solve all the problems. I don't know how long it would take me to read all the questions because I read them one by one as the test went on. The second test was the harder one, especially the electrical part since it was more complicated. After this trip, what I will miss most about Vietnam are the kind people and the food here. My favorite food here are noodles and chicken wings.

The experimental exam was quite easy, I solved about 75% of it but I think it was easy for everyone too. The second test was harder for me. I spent the first 2 hours for the first test and the rest for the second one and still didn't finish it. It would take me one more hour to finish all of the problems. After the test, I will probably miss the food here the most. I don't have any favorite dish because there are so many kinds of food here.
Tena Dubcek and Nina Kamcev (Croatia)
The theoretical exam was very hard while the experimental exam was a lot easier. We had a lot to do in such a limited amount of time so we couldn't finish it. We have been to the night market in the Old quarters and we really enjoyed it. The art works in the market are so cheap that we want to get some more of them later.
Azimah Julkipli (Brunei)
I did bettter in the experimental exam than the first one. I finished the first part and almost completed the second one. It took me a long time to understand the questions because I had never done anything like that before. I think this is a good chance getting to know a lot of new things here in Vietnam. It took me some time to get used to them but I find these new things really fun once I'm familiar with them. I got some toothpick holders and chopsticks from Bat Trang village for my family.
Iacopo Torre (Italy)
I think the experimental exam was easier than the theoretical exam but it was still very long. I think I would need one more hour to finish all of the problems. This is my first time I've been to Vietnam, I think Vietnam is a beautiful country although the weather is very hot. I called my parents after the exam and told them I did the test fine. I think the newsletter is a good idea, it has a really fun name and I have been enjoying it.

We think the experimental exam was a lot easier than the theoretical one. Still we don't think we will get any medals. When we go back home, we think we will miss the heat here the most.
Singapore team
The experimental exam was long but easier than the theoretical exam. Hopefully we can get 5 gold medals in this IPhO. The most impressive thing we have seen here is the traffic, there are so many motobikes on the streets. Now that the exam is over, we want to enjoy our time here.
Ahmad Bilal (Pakistan)
The experimental exam was definitely easier than the theoretical one yet it was still long so I couldn’t finish the last part. I'm hoping for the best I can get because I have done my best in this competition. I have been reading every String newsletter and I enjoy it, especially the last page. I have been enjoying Vietnam so far, people here are very hospitable and the scenary is very beautiful. In the future, I want to get a master degree in a foreign country.
