What’s their impression about Vietnam?

Adam Badra Cahaya (Indonesia)

Vietnam is such a beautiful country and I am really enjoying my time here. I am very confident about the experimental exam tomorrow. We've had lots of practice at home so I am not too worried. Just want to try my best and receive a medal.

Chang Liu (Germany)

I would love to come back and visit Vietnam after this IPhO, but probably in the winter time. Vietnamese people are all very nice and I feel welcome everywhere I go. I love seeing the Vietnamese traditional costumes and strange-looking things and tools. The traffic here is crazy though, especially with motorbikes all over the place. I hope the experimental exam will go well tomorrow.

Gabor Almasi (Hungary)

I love everything about Vietnam. People are friendly, the girls are pretty and the scenery is beautiful. Also, it's very exciting to see people riding motorbikes on the streets. It looks dangerous and I probably will never dare to cross the streets by myself. If I have a chance, I would love to visit Vietnam again.

Polnop Samutpraphoot (Thailand)

The theoretical problems were very difficult but interesting. I think you need a broad understanding in physics to sovle them correctly. Vietnam is a warm and welcoming country. I hope to come back and visit with my family and friends. I am looking forward to visiting Ha Long Bay tomorrow.

Tobit James (The Philippines)

The test is too long so I don't have enough time to finish. I thought it will be about electromagnetism but it wasn't. I participated in IMO last year in Vietnam so I had chance to visit many beautiful places like Ha Long Bay, Van Phuc Village, and museums.

Kunal, Nishant, Shiti (India)

Our team managed to finish about 80% of the theoretical exam. We hope we will do the experimental one better. Yesterday, we bought a lot of ceramics as souvenir gifts to bring back home for my family and friends. They are so beautiful. Even though we have a tight schedule with lots of activities, we don't feel tired because all of them are very exciting.

Jamshid Rezaei Mianroodi (Iran)

The theoretical exam was hard and complex but I think it's a very good test. The problems are tricky so I have to read everything carefully to understand them all. I am not too nervous about the experimental exam tomorrow. I am confident that I and my teammates will do well. To be honest, I didn't know much about Vietnam before coming here. BUT I LOVE VIETNAM. Everything here is so wonderful. If possible, I would like to come here once again, but not in summer. Maybe in fall or winter to get the best of your country.

Ng Xin Zhao (Malaysia)

This is my first time visiting Vietnam. It's very similar to my country so I don't feel homesick. The food is so delicious and everyone speaks English very well. When we went to Van Phuc village today, I saw how people make silk and was so impressed. I bought some beautiful shirt and silk for my girlfriend.

Wishing a wonderful birthday to our contestants!
